Government joblessness extension Catastrophe puts 128,000 Folks in Michigan at risk of exhausting benefits
With no short-term extension of federal unemployment benefits, 128,200 jobless folks inside Michigan will miss their benefits.Due to a stalemate between Republicans and Democrats, the U.S. Senate adjourned today with out moving a short-term extension of federal unemployment benefits. These benefits may end on April 5, prior to the Senate returns to work on April 12.
Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.) has mentioned that the Senate will pass the extension when it comes back and allow it to be retroactive to ensure that there will not be a lapse in eligibility for federal government unemployment benefits.
