Common Michigan EUC Tier Questions

If you are receiving Unemployment Compensation in Michigan and the benefits are about to exhaust, you may be eligible for Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC).

Emergency Unemployment Compensation has 4 tier levels in the program. Each tier level grants the unemployed worker an extension of unemployment compensation. Each level offers a shorter amount of time to receive benefits.
If you are eligible for the EUC program you will be contacted by the Unemployment Office approximately 2 weeks before your current benefits expire. At that time, you will need to qualify for EUC benefits.
